Engineering Climate Conference 2021
The inaugural Engineering Climate Conference will explore how our engineering community is managing, developing and enhancing opportunities to address the climate emergency.
The virtual conference, held on 15-16 June 2021, is free to attend for public sector delegates. The first day will focus on ‘Transport’ and the second on ‘Energy’.
SCAPE Scotland's Category Lead for Civils, Roger Steeper will be hosting a session on Tuesday 15 June at 2:35pm on ‘Tackling the infrastructure carbon challenge’, with panellists including Steven Knox, Manager for Structures and Flood Prevention at City of Edinburgh Council, Craig Baxter, Town Planner at Highland Council, Kirsten Leggatt, Carbon and Sustainability Consultant at Triskelion, Ben Harris, UK Climate Change and Sustainability Director at Triskelion, and Poul Wend Hansen, Environment Manager at Balfour Beatty.
The conference aims to stimulate cross-disciplinary collaboration in advance of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), taking place in November 2021.
