SCAPE Scotland Construction
Project value: £7.5m - £100m
Delivering quality, cost effective solutions within a safe and considerate working environment, we have combined traditional values with an innovative approach.
We are committed to delivering exceptional infrastructure whilst shaping the communities in which we work. Demonstrating a unique range of expertise, McLaughlin & Harvey deliver innovative and sustainable public sector projects which leave a positive impact on local communities and environments.
Our commitment to long-term partnering, innovation, sustainability and the delivery of meaningful social value has never been stronger. As a trusted framework partner, we created added value on our project which improves the environment, economy and social wellbeing of the communities we work in.
Our Social Value Strategy is built on five pillars encompassing economic, social and environmental outcomes.
Building Futures: We create employment and learning opportunities for successful career pathways. We work with our partners to break down the barriers to sustained employment and remove education inequalities experienced by some groups through dedicated programmes.
Share Prosperity: We support local economies by buying goods and services locally and ethically. We build the capacity of SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) by investing in their development.
Good Employer: We operate a workplace where everyone is treated with fairness, inclusion and respect and positively contribute to the promotion of equality and diversity as a fundamental principle of good employment.
Communities Matter: We contribute to healthy and resilient communities by building capacity amongst community organisations to enable community-led solutions to local challenges.
Sustainably Green: We embrace digital technology to design out waste, increase resource efficiency, improve the environmental health of our communities, and achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2030.
40% of all UK emissions are construction related and we all have a part to play in reducing this. We developed our Net Zero by 2030 Strategy to outline our commitment to making change and to provide our supply chain with clear environmental goals.
In addition, we achieved ISO 14064 certification for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions further emphasising our commitment.
We are delighted to be continuing to work in partnership with SCAPE Scotland on their new construction framework. We look forward to working collaboratively with the SCAPE team, partners and clients in the delivery of this framework, providing high quality, value for money projects and real community benefits and sustainable outcomes for local communities.”
