The challenge

The Climate Change Risk Assessment carried out on behalf of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has said increased flood risks are among the key problems the UK will face in coming decades. In addition, as coastal erosion continues, the need to protect our cities, houses, highways and livelihoods against the retreat of the UK coastline has never been more important.

Our solution

Working for local authorities and the Environment Agency, SCAPE delivers cost efficient coastal and flood protection projects across the UK, meeting national and local outcomes and efficiency gains. From each project, we capture best practice and lessons learnt and use this information to inform the design and construction of future projects.

This approach drives continual improvement and delivers savings for our customers and the knowledge that the local community can continue to live and work in safety and assurance.
