Social Partnerships Portal

A better way to partner with social enterprise

Social Partnership Portal

Let's make valuable connections, together

The Social Partnership Portal is an online portal to bring social suppliers and contractors together and maximise social value from public construction projects.

It is powered and developed by Local Supply Chain, supported by Supply Change, the portal’s supplier verification service and backed by over twenty-five founding members.

Together, we seek to create more value from procurement, by connecting more project opportunities with the local community.

A portal to partnership

Social value as a concept and a policy area was never intended to be about big numbers.

It's about creating life changing stories, real opportunities and lasting legacies for local communities. That's what SCAPE stands for.

And that's why we're thrilled to launch the Social Partnership Portal, an innovative new way to connect social enterprise with project opportunities. The Social Partnership Portal forms a part of our wider digital ambitions, which are to drive real socioeconomic and environmental change through public procurement.

As the nation seeks to Build Back Better, the Social Partnership Portal is designed to serve as a powerful, interactive destination where buyers can connect with social suppliers to help invest in local communities... and boost local economies.

We want to encourage greater use of social suppliers within our supply chains.

Not only do they offer competitive, quality services, but they also reinvest into communities, create opportunities for marginalised people in society and address important environmental issues. That’s what sets them apart, and that’s what we want to embed into every construction project

How it works

Harness the skills of social enterprise

As national procurement guidance increasingly encourages the use of socially responsible organisations in public sector construction, it’s more important than ever for us to make this process quick, simple and easy.

In response to this and demand from our Social Enterprise Working Group; a two-year collaboration between some of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure contractors, we identified the need for a platform that would bring buyers and suppliers together, and enable stronger collaboration.

  • Increase your confidence in suppliers
  • Build strong, lasting relationships
  • Maximise social value and sustainability outcomes
  • Align to national procurement best practice

Gain access to exciting projects

Suppliers are organisations with a social or environmental purpose seeking to connect with buyers and work with them on their construction projects.

The portal is a free, easy way of showcasing your organisation and skills to potential buyers and increasing your engagement with construction projects. Through this online platform, you can connect with local and national contractors, and with the support of our dedicated team, we can help you achieve verified Social Enterprise status.

  • Free to register and use
  • Gain access to projects
  • Boost your visibility
  • Showcase your skills
