SCAPE Scotland Construction
Project value: £0-£10m
We are a top tier contractor and part of Morgan Sindall Group plc, a leading UK construction and regeneration group. It operates through six divisions of Construction & Infrastructure, Fit Out, Property Services, Partnership Housing, Urban Regeneration and Investments.
As a purpose-led organisation and in recognition of the urgent need to protect our planet, we have a trailblazing environmental strategy, Decarbonising Communities. This harnesses the combined expertise of Morgan Sindall Construction’s customers, employees, and supply chain to change the way buildings are designed and constructed, in order to reduce the amount of carbon associated with each built asset and will help us achieve our own target of Net Zero Carbon by 2030. We are also proud to be one of the first construction companies to gain accreditation by the Science-Based Targets Initiative, using targets which represent sector-specific actual reductions in overall emissions.
We have an evidence-based approach which includes the identification, measurement and monetisation of the social value we create, and our decentralised business means we can focus on the outcomes that best meet the needs of our local communities and stakeholders. These might include the recruitment and training of apprentices, the use of local supply chain and labour, supporting mentoring and training programmes for local unemployed or under-represented groups, as well as supporting SMEs.
As a founding member of Work Radar, for instance, we help tradespeople, micro businesses and social enterprises identify opportunities to work on large construction projects local to them, which might otherwise be out of reach.
Every project we deliver is special to us, and our people who deliver it. Putting our customers at the heart of our delivery helps us learn so much more about the importance of the facilities we create beyond the build, so that we improve the lives of those we touch through providing social infrastructure – places where people live, work, learn, play, care and protect.
Following the appointment of Morgan Sindall Construction on the SCAPE Scotland Construction framework, public sector organisations can now benefit from having their projects delivered by a choice selection of companies within Morgan Sindall Group. This includes working with our office fit-out and refurbishment specialist Overbury, with Lovell Partnership, one of the UK’s leading property developers, and with our innovative engineering division Morgan Sindall Infrastructure.

Our expert teams are united by a collective belief that better engineered, sustainably designed, lower carbon and responsibly delivered infrastructure shapes a better social and economic future for all.
Our approach to being a responsible business remains constant, whether we’re enhancing water, wastewater or energy transmission networks, enabling better rail connections, keeping vital highways running, working 24/7 to maintain airport runways, or creating and maintaining infrastructure assets in complex and demanding nuclear environments.
We are committed to influencing future generations by nurturing an increasingly diverse talent pool, raising awareness of how rewarding a career in the built environment can be and demonstrating how we can work together to help preserve the planet for future generations.
